The membership that keeps on educating
The laws and regulations around trucking change frequently and it’s important to stay informed on the latest information. The OTA does the work for you by compiling all of the pertinent information and news, and disseminating it in a way that’s understandable and easy to access.
Our monthly Safety & Maintenance Council Meetings are held in central Ohio and provide valuable
insight into the latest regulations. Our Regional OTA Meetings offer a forum for members to raise
questions and learn more about the organization.
Training & Seminars
OTA members also receive special reduced rates for valuable training, seminars and workshops including:
Roadside Inspection Training, which takes attendees through a complete inspection from the Inspector’s
point of view, to give you a better understanding of what to expect and how to prepare for one.
Cargo Tank Hazardous Materials Training, a two-day seminar covering everything from tank markings
to compliance and enforcement procedures. Attendees also receive important resources like the
Federal Hazardous Regulations Book.
DOT Compliance Seminars, which ready attendees for a surprise inspection from the DOT.
Driver Qualification File Training Workshops, gives you the information and the tools to maintain
the federally mandated files on each of your drivers.
We believe transportation safety extends beyond the trucking industry. To better educate the public on driver
safety, we helped create the No-Zone Display at the Ohio State Fair. Seen by over 50,000 fairgoers, the
display raised awareness about the issues of highway safety and sharing the road with large commercial vehicles.
