Topic:  What do commercial trucking fleets expect  from their tires? And the impact of greenhouse gas rule-making phase 2 on commercial tire requirements.

Speaker:  Al Cohn

This veteran of the trucking industry is a graduate of the University of Illinois in chemical engineering. He spent 28 years with      Goodyear Tire based in Akron, Ohio in a variety of assignments related to commercial tires including compounding, design, chief engineer field engineering, and technical marketing manager. He also spent 3 years working for Goodyear in Luxembourg, Europe.

In 2006, he joined Pressure Systems International (PSI) out of San Antonio, Texas as Director New Market Development & Engineering Support. PSI is the worldwide leader inautomatic tire inflation systems for commercial fleets, Al is a frequent industry speaker. He is an active member of SAE, American Trucking Association, Intermodal Association of North America, and Technology Maintenance Council (TMC). Al received the Silver Spark Plug Award, TMC’s highest honor for his contribution to the industry in 2001.

He also writes monthly articles on the subject of commercial tires for Fleet Equipment magazine, and PSI TireDigest.
