HISTORY AND PURPOSE OF THE NO-ZONE DISPLAY
For the past 21 years, OSHP, YRC Freight, and OTA have partnered together to present the No-Zone demonstration at the Ohio State Fair.  The booth, located at the north end of the Sky Glider ride near the Cardinal Gate, gives the public the unusual opportunity of sitting in the driver seat of a semi on a re-creation of 4 lanes of interstate with 3 OSHP vehicles strategically parked in the blind spots.  OTA volunteers interact with the public by inviting them to see and hear the demonstration presented by the YRC Freight Safety Team.  They also will discuss with people of all ages many facets of highway safety, including seat belt and cell phone promises and the dangers of distracted driving, which are shown with accident scene photographs submitted by law enforcement agencies across Ohio. In short, this is a perfect chance to answer questions about trucking in general, act as industry ambassadors, get your company name and logo in the public eye, and network with other OTA volunteers, YRC Freight drivers, OSHP troopers, and Motor Carrier Enforcement Inspectors.
