How Can You Help Ensure the Industry's Political Success?

During this legislative session, the Ohio Trucking Association has worked hard to advocate on issues that profoundly affect our industry. These included: establishing a trucking specific definition for independent contractors; eliminating sales taxes of fuel used in refer units; and successfully advocating for the removal of the 150-air mile radius on regional heavy haul permits.

In order for the Ohio Trucking Association to continue to have the the influence it currently does, it is so vitally important that we make sure the lawmakers friendly to the industry are elected. In order to do that, we need your support for TRUKPAC, our political action committee, which profiles financial support to candidates who have a track record of supporting the industry.

TRUKPAC is the Ohio based non-partisan political action committee for the trucking industry. Funds are generated by the contributions from individuals, sole proprietorships, partnerships, LPAs, LLCs, and LLPs who want to support candidates who support the trucking industry.

TRUKPAC is how our industry contributes to members of the Ohio Legislature, Ohio elected officials, and Ohio Supreme Court justices who make important decisions that will profoundly impact the trucking industry and your businesses. These funds are distributed directly to candidates based on the recommendations of the Ohio Trucking Association lobbying team and approved by a committee of trucking company professionals who have an in-depth knowledge of the Ohio political landscape.

TRUKPAC is registered with the Ohio Secretary of State and is bound by the state of Ohio fundraising laws and reporting requirements.

Funds are raised throughout the year at membership renewal or TRUKPAC events.
